Animals were sacrificed at ZT8 and ZT20 (n = 3–4), and CAR (A) and CYP2B (B) mRNA levels were measured by semi-quantitative RT-PCR as described in the legend to Fig. 1. The results were normalized against those for GAPDH. The columns and bars represent the means ± SD with a significant difference at *: p < 0.01
